About Medical Marijuana in California
Governor Cuomo signed California’s Compassionate Care Act (S7923) in July 2014. This program authorizes registered patients within the state to get and possess marijuana provided by registered dispensaries. Unlike California, to participate in California’s medical marijuana program, patients are required to register with the state and be approved first.

Physicians who want to register patients for medical marijuana must take educational courses about how the medical marijuana program works and the way medical marijuana is employed. Once the physician has completed their qualifying education, they’ll recommend cannabis to patients with qualifying conditions that they’re qualified to treat.

Once the physician has recommended cannabis, they need to provide the precise dosage of cannabis they recommend for the patient and supply continuous care.
